A native of Baltimore, Amar Weisman has grown a traditional, general practice of law that has represented hundreds of Maryland and out-of-state clients in the Maryland courts.   His practice of law has followed key guiding principles: creativity, relentlessness, and a client-centered approach that begins with understanding the human dimension of the problem that each person brings to him.

Mr. Weisman has excelled in family law, criminal law defense, and immigration matters.   In litigation and business law, Mr. Weisman has taken great pride in offering small local businesses and individuals his representation in both litigation and each level of business growth, including partnerships and dissolutions, and every other type of contract need.

An immigrant’s son, Mr. Weisman’s practice includes immigration law as well as often-related representations of clients in employment, divorce, child custody, criminal, and personal injury cases.

Mr. Weisman’s strengths in family practice includes

  • cases of high-conflict divorce, sometimes including adultery, cruelty of spousal treatment and excessively vicious conduct, constructive and actual desertion, and the often- intense struggle to secure for a client the marital property they deserve.
  • representation of clients in settlement agreements, mediation and arbitration, and uncontested divorce.
  • extensive experience in child custody cases, including struggles for both legal and physical custody.
  • counseling clients who are interested in saving a marriage or to guard their interests under the threat or fear of divorce.

Mr. Weisman has extensive work experience in criminal defense, including DUI/DWI, CDS, Theft, Assault, Violation of Peace/Protection Orders and transportation of unstamped cigarettes.

After attending Boy’s Latin School of Maryland, Amar graduated from Georgetown University where he was a member of the Philodemic Society.   He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Baltimore.  He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, and the Baltimore County Bar Association.
